Kathleen Golka, RN, IBCLC
Kathleen begin her career as a nurse over 40 years ago in Pennsylvania. She has had significant experience working with both mothers and babies in several hospital units including inpatient OB, fetal monitoring, High Risk OB, baby nursey and a postpartum care for mothers and babies. She found her true passion when she became a Clinical Lactation Specialist in 2011. Kathleen has been working in Women’s Services/ Labor and Delivery in Mt Pleasant since 1995 and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2011. She enjoys helping new mothers achieve their breastfeeding goals nourishing their babies.
Kathleen enjoys spending her free time with her husband of over 40 years and their dog. She loves spending time with her two daughters and two grandsons. She also loves going to the beach, gardening, Calligraphy, sewing and is a member of CABA and CCBA beekeepers.
